INVITATION TO THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF NIDOE ( SWITZERLAND CHAPTER), ZURICH , 14 OCTOBER 2006

 

TO ALL NIGERIANS RESIDENT IN SWITZERLAND

 

        On the occasion of the formal inauguration of the Switzerland chapter of the Nigerians In Diaspora Organisation in Europe, (NIDOE) I hereby cordially invite all Nigerians resident in Switzerland to this important event, slated to hold at Schützenhaus Albisgütli, Uetlibergstrasse 341, 8045 Zurich, on 14 October 2006.

2.     NIDOE is an Organisation that seeks to encourage the participation of all Nigerians in Diaspora ( Europe ) in the affairs of the country by acting as a forum for the exchange of views on issues relating to support for development efforts back home. It also seeks to enhance the image of Nigeria in all its aspects through networking, and to collaborate with Nigerian stakeholders in pursuance of national development. It has the full support and encouragement of the present government

3.     Many of you in this country have achieved great heights in your various endeavours, and earned the respect of all and sundry. A number of you work in international organisations and the private sector while others have established and successfully run their private businesses in this country.

 

4.     Through your strong presence at corporate, social and economic levels, you have so far made significant contributions in Switzerland . It is now high time that you came together to forge an enduring, sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership with Nigerians at home with a view to accelerating the development process of our dear country.

 

5.     I have since my assumption of office as Nigeria ’s Ambassador in this country worked closely with the vibrant Nigerian community towards achieving the creation of NIDOE here, and am delighted to note that all hands are now on deck towards achieving this goal.

 

6.     It is in this regard that I call on you, through this medium to come out in large numbers on the appointed day to join hands to make the formal inauguration of NIDOE, Switzerland chapter a success.
